Coffee tour begins with a visit to Doka Coffee Estate where we will have a delicious breakfast. After that we will take the coffee tour with a local guide to a real coffee plantation where you will learn about the techniques used by experts to produce one of the best coffees in Costa Rica. You will also learn about the cultivation, harvest and roasting of coffee. Finally we will taste the delicious product.
After the coffee tour, we will continue to the Poás Volcano National Park, as we ascend to the volcano the temperature will have a noticeable change and you will see a exuberant vegetation of the cloud forest that surrounds these landscapes.
Poás Volcano is an active stratovolcano. The crater of the volcano is over a mile wide and 1050 feet deep. It has erupted 40 times since 1828, including April 2017, and remains active today.
At the Volcano we will have time to enjoy the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles. Sometimes it is not possible to see the crater due to the fog, it is a special experience to visite an active volcano and not everybody can say he did that in his live.
We will also visit the Botos Lagoon.
