We will visit Doka Coffee Estate, a real coffee plantation for a delicious breakfast and learn about the coffee process with techniques used by the experts to produce one of the best coffee in Costa Rica. After the Coffee Tour we will continue to the Poas Volcano.

Once we arrive at the Poás Volcano National Park we will head towards a viewpoint from where we will be able to see the main crater which has a small lake at the bottom, this if the weather allows it. Then we will take a path surrounded by nature, we will walk towards the amazing Botos lagoon. During the walk it is possible to see some of the bird species that inhabit the park, as well as small mammals such as squirrels.

The Poás Volcano, is an active volcano of 2,708 metres height (8,885 ft). It has erupted 40 times since 1828, the last major eruption was in February 2019. It is noteworthy that this is one of the most visited Volcanoes in Costa Rica.

Then we’ll head to La Paz Waterfall. As we arrive to La Paz Waterfall and Gardens, we will walk through a trail, leading to a spectacular waterfalls in the middle of the rainforest. Inside the park we will also visit the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, the bird house, the butterfly garden and the frog’s exhibit.

PICK UP TIME: Estimated Departure from San José. 06:00am to 7:00 am . Estimated Return to San José.  6:00 pm. We do the pick up at your Hotel.
