IMPORTANT: Costa Rica is known worldwide for its ecological policies. It is our duty to inform our clients that they should NOT throw trash in parks, trails, biological reserves, volcanoes, beaches and anywhere else that is not a dump. Or you can ask the guide where you can put your garbage.
In Costa Rica it is NOT allowed to collect shells from the beaches to take them home. If you do, you may be stopped at the airport and fined.
It is also not allowed to touch wild animals or take photos of them using flash.
In some National Parks entry with plastic water bottles is not allowed.
For that reason we promote the use of reusable water bottles, in order to help protect our forests and wildlife of Costa Rica.
We have this type of bottle for sale for only $20. We also offer our bottles as a gift, (for some tours.)

WHAT IS THE BEST TIME O SEASON TO VISIT COSTA RICA.?
In Costa Rica we have 2 seasons, the High Season or “Dry Season” and the Low Season “Rainy Season”.
Normally all hotels and tours will have different rates for each of these seasons.
The High Season is from December to April and the Low Season is from May to November.
SHOULD I PRINT A RECEIPT TO SHOW THE TOUR GUIDE?
We like to protect the environment, therefore we recommend NOT printing any reservation or receipt. However, we require that you show to the guide your confirmation number that we would send you once you have pay for the reservation.
ARE THERE ANY EXTRA FEE?
All prices shown on our website are plus 13% Tax.
CAN I PAY WITH MY CREDIT CARD?
Yes, you can use your credit or debit cards. We work with a Payment Link system with the Support of the National Bank of Costa Rica, supported by the 3D security of Visa and Mastercard. We only accept Master Card or Visa. For some trips it may be possible to pay the guide in cash. Contact us for more information.
CAN I PAY WITH CASH USD DOLLAR OR ONLY WITH LOCAL CURRENCY (Colones)
You can pay either with US dollars or with Costa Rican Colones at the exchange rate of Banco Nacional de Costa Rica
DO I HAVE TO MAKE A RESERVATION OR CAN I JUST SHOW UP?
Yes. Reservations are required for guaranteed spots on all tours. Reservations help us determine the number of guides we need to ensure that our groups remain manageable and enjoyable, and they allow us to notify you of changes to the tour due to weather or anything that could disturb the tours.
WHAT TO BRING?
Not much. We do suggest you bring appropriate clothing to fit the season, Hat, Jacket, Walking shoes, Insect repellent, Binoculars, Camera, Raincoat, Sunscreen and Water.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Wear whatever is comfortable for you. It is recommended to have a sturdy pair of broken-in trail shoes, boots, or sneakers. It is preferable to dress in layers and wear clothing that will wick away perspiration and keep you dry and comfortable
HOW TO BOOK A TRIP?
Request a reservation is very easy, in each tour on our website you will see an option that says BOOK NOW. All you have to do is fill out the form and we will contact you to formalize the reservation and agree which payment method is better for you.
CAN I BOOK LAST MINUTE?

We will be happy to help you make the most of your vacation. Due to the fact that we offer daily trips, there are no conditions on the lead time in which to make a reservation, almost all tours require a minimum of 2 to 4 passengers to operate, the client will be informed immediately if we do not have the minimum of people required to operate the trip. If the customer agrees we would put on a waiting list while the tour opens.
CANCELATION & REFUNDS POLICY?
Reservations will be guarantee once the client makes the payment. We will be responsible for monitoring the entire operation of the tour with our suppliers. Consequently all cancellation made 72 hours before the tour, the client will have a 100% refund.
*Cancellations made between 72 and 48 hours before the tour date, we will make the refund to the client, discounting a 5% for Banking and administrative expenses incurred in the payment process, which will be deduced from the total amount paid by the client.
** It is important that the client understands that any cancellation made with LESS THAN 48 HOURS will incur a penalty of 100% inevitable, therefore there would be NO REFUND.
However, worth mentioning that if the cancellation is on our part, due to force majeure, such as landslides or bad weather, the client will receive 100% of the refund.
If a customer reserves a Combo Tour but then wishes not to enjoy any of the activities offered in the package, We will not refund money for a decision made by the client at the last moment.
** Please be punctual with the agreed time for the pick up. If the client does not show up on the agreed date, place and time; No refund of money is made.
Groups of 10 pax and up: 15 days before: 100% refund, from 14 to 10 days: 75% refund of 9-7 days: 50% refund, less than 7 days: NO REFUNDS.
NO SHOWS = No refund, 100% cancellation is charged.. Please be punctual with the agreed time for the pick-up. If the client does not show up on the agreed date, place and time, No refund of money.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If Tours Paradise must to make a refund to a client in the cases described above, it would be solely and exclusively to the SAME CREDIT or DEBIT CARD with which the client paid for the tour. No refund will be made to another account or card.
PROCESS TO MAKE A CANCELLATION.

• Only a representative of Tours Paradise can cancel a reservation and will notify to the client by EMAIL.
