Volcanoes of Costa Rica
Costa Rica’s volcanoes are covered mostly by forests and lush vegetation. These colossi of nature are directly related to the shock or subduction of Cocos and Caribbean plates. Among the most active volcanoes we can highlight the Turrialba Volcano, Arenal Volcano, Poas Volcano, Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, Irazu Volcano, Miravalles and Tenorio Volcano. Thousands of tourists come from all over the world annually to visit these wonders of nature.
