La Fortuna Waterfall hike

We pick up our clients in the San Jose, Heredia or Alajuela area,them we will head towards La Fortuna, halfway we will stop to have a delicious typical Costa Rican breakfast. This trip includes visit La Fortuna Waterfall and visit to a viewpoint from where you can admire the imposing Arenal Volcano.
The Fortuna River waterfall is located in a biological reserve of 210 hectares of humid tropical forest, part of the Arenal Volcano National Park, it is managed by Integral Development Association of La Fortuna (ADIFORT).

To get to this splendid 75 meters high waterfall, visitors must walk a path of approximately 560 steps. On the way to the waterfall there are comfortable rest areas and tubes with drinking water, where you can hydrate and rest.

Once we get to the waterfall, there are a spacious and comfortable vantage point from which you can take unique photographs, finally you can take a refreshing swim in the clear waters of the Fortuna River.

After visiting La Fortuna Waterfall we will head towards a restaurant for lunch. Once we have had lunch we will go to a viewpoint of the Arenal Volcano National Park from where we can admire the imposing Arenal Volcano, as well as the Arenal Lake. Then we will head back to San José..
