Tortuga Island excursion departs from San José around 6:00 am.
Returning to San José around 9:00 pm.
This tour operates only on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
In Puntarenas we will board a yacht to Tortuga Island (Turtle Island), a beautiful island located in the Gulf of Nicoya, Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. At Tortuga Island you will enjoy a beautiful white sand beach, great ocean views and live music. On board, savory tropical fruits and refreshing natural drinks will be served.
Then you will explore the island, immersing yourself in the calm clear waters and lush landscape, where you can take a swim, sunbathe and or take an optional tour like Kayaking or Canopy. A delicious lunch will be prepared by the crew.
On the way to Tortuga Island can be observed the following islands:
Isla San Lucas:Famous for having been for over 100 years, biggest prison in Costa Rica, which it is said that convicts suffered horrors, the center was closed in 1991.
Guayabo Island: This island is part of the Negritos Island Biological Reserve, Birds and Guayabo, whose purpose is the conservation of many species of marine birds, flora and fauna.
Jesusita Island. Around the island are tropical fruit trees. It has a dry tropical forest. The waters of its small beaches are quiet and transparent.
Cedros Island: One of the islands most important to possess sweet water itself, plus the island has electricity, its beaches are beautiful with cliffs, and gray sand.
Negritos Islands: Two islands of great biological and scenic beauty, composed of sedimentary rocks about 130 million years. Its importance lies in the protection and conservation of seabirds, besides parrots and many bird species.
